Szlovenian test‑roadshow – Ikarus 80e V3 hits the road

Between December 2024 and May 2025 the Ikarus 80e V3 electric midibus operated in six Slovenian cities—Ljubljana, Kranj, Nova Gorica, Koper, Maribor and Ptuj—under the management of local public transport operators.

The nearly half‑year‑long roadshow aimed to assess the vehicle’s performance and reliability in real operating conditions and to gather operator feedback for fine‑tuning the product. Over the course of the trial the midibus covered 4 653 kilometres, achieved an average energy consumption of 0.0028 SoC per kilometre and proved that a 350‑kilometre range on a single charge is attainable. The closing ceremony in Ptuj brought together Ikarus representatives and Slovenian partners to celebrate the successful test. Powered by a 200 kW motor and a 282 kWh battery, the fully low‑floor 80e V3 midibus demonstrated outstanding energy efficiency and suitability for urban and regional transport.
