On the opening day of Busworld 2025 in Brussels, Ikarus presented the world premiere of its latest development, the Ikarus 180e, a fully electric articulated bus.

Developed in cooperation with world-leading suppliers, the model combines more than 130 years of Ikarus bus manufacturing experience with state-of-the-art technologies, and from today, it becomes the flagship of the company’s renewed electric portfolio.

The Ikarus 180e was designed to create a high-capacity vehicle optimized for urban transport, offering environmentally friendly operation, outstanding range, and reliable performance. The 18.75-meter-long bus, capable of carrying up to 126 passengers, is equipped with a central drive system, a liquid-cooled PMS motor, and CATL LFP batteries.
The vehicle is available with 563 or 640 kWh battery packs, providing a range of up to 650 kilometers on a single charge. Its maximum power output is 350–375 kW, while the torque reaches 3,500 Nm, ensuring exceptional dynamism even in dense urban traffic.
The 2–2–2–2 door configuration ensures optimal passenger flow. To accommodate large passenger volumes while maintaining comfort, the interior features 45 fixed seats, 5 folding seats, and 2 dedicated spaces for wheelchairs or strollers, in addition to 126 standing places. The maximum permissible gross weight is 30 tons, and the 22.5-inch wheels ensure an exceptionally smooth driving experience.
In addition, the model is equipped with the latest safety and driver-assistance technologies, including Mobileye 8 Connect, Fisheye camera systems, and driver fatigue monitoring.
The Ikarus 180e is not only a technological innovation but also further proof that Ikarus remains a key player in the European bus industry – actively contributing to the future of sustainable urban transport with its electric city buses.
